Canadian indie band Brasstronaut mix pop, rock, jazz and classical
elements to create their unique and compelling sound. 2010 has been a big year
for Brasstronaut who played the CODE Olympic event with Belle Orchestre,
released the album 'Mt. Chimaera' to critical acclaim and got longlisted for the prestigious
Polaris Prize. Girth is also proud to announce that Brasstronaut's single 'Hearts Trompet'
beat out songs by fellow nominees Caribou, Crystal Castles and Besnard Lakes to win this year's
ECHO Songwriting Prize presented by SOCAN! The ECHO is designed to identify what's next and best in
current independent music.
Juno Award winning artist John Obercian is also an accomplished record producer

Small Sins' critically acclaimed new record 'Pot Calls Kettle Black'. John wrote
the theme for NBC children's TV series Time Warp Trio, and also scored television campaigns for
McDonalds, Ikea, Budweiser, Bell, Ford, Fruitopia and more.
Indie band The William Blakes are putting their hometown of Copenhagen on the map. Their brand of 80's inspired pop/rock is at once catchy and thoughtful with lyrics about politics and the human condition. The band's latest album, 'The Way of The Warrior' dropped on Sept. 13th and is already attracting attention from major record labels.
